The Ugly Duck Derby is a one-of-a-kind community fundraiser where thousands of rubber ducks race for a chance to win big prizes, including a $4,000 grand prize. Each ticket purchased is assigned a duck, and when the race begins, it’s all up to chance as the ducks make their way to the finish line.
More than just a fun event, the Ugly Duck Derby directly supports the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County and the youth we serve every day. Proceeds help provide a safe place after school, caring mentors, and programs that support academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development.
It’s a simple idea with a big impact. Buy a duck, cheer it on, and help create great futures for local kids.
How it works:
Each ticket you purchase is assigned a number that matches a duck in the race. When the ducks are released, the first ones to cross the finish line win prizes based on their ticket numbers.
Yellow Duck Race: 10,000 tickets sold - chance to win $4,000 & lots of other prizes
Blue Duck Race: 100 tickets sold - chance to win $2,000
