Summer Learning Labs FAQs
What is it?
Summer Learning Labs is a fun, high-quality academic and enrichment program designed to support student growth, prevent summer learning loss, and keep students on track for the upcoming school year. Each day students will receive literacy and math instruction taught by licensed teachers. The afternoon portion of the day will consist of traditional Club programs such as Art, STEM, Games, Gym, and more. Members receive free breakfast and lunch.
Why is there an attendance policy?
Attendance is critical to the students' success throughout the program. A minimum of 80% attendance is required. The Summer Learning Labs is provided through MindTrust, which allows us to offer this program for free. However, in order to receive the funding to continue to offer this program in the future, meeting their required attendance policy is incredibly important
What about regular Summer Camp?
If you are not interested in Summer Learning Labs, all are welcome to attend the Club’s regular Summer Camp at the Limestone Unit for $75 per week, open 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. You can also send your child to the Limestone Unit for the weeks the Summer Learning Labs are not open.
